GOOD NEWS!!  NO HOMEWORK!!! so the students and their families can enjoy the Saint's Celebration and Halloween.

October 27th

Good News - the children earned ten apples which translates into a Show and Tell Day!  We have decided to have our Show and Tell on Wednesday, October 29th.  I do ask that the students do not bring anything of super value.  We are looking forward this week as we have many exciting activities planned.  We will complete an art craft for Halloween and All Souls Day (November 2nd).  Our Saint Parade is tomorrow at 9 AM (Tues., Oct. 28th).  Show and Tell will be held Wednesday,

October 29th.  Have a SAFE and HAPPY Halloween!!

October 23rd

Belated Happy Birthday to Taylor Bailey and Evan Eichorn!!  Also congratulations to our Players of the Day:  Taylor Bailey, Nicholas Pomeroy, and Sebastian.  All our students have kept us in high ranking as a classroom we say THANKS.  We had an assembly to see Science Explores perform some experiments.  Looking forward to next week and our Saint's Celebration.

Happy Monday!  Hopefully you were able to enjoy the beautiful Fall weekend.
Today we are starting the Wild West Unit 2 of the ELA program.  This theme is very exciting for the children.  We are beginning with How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Mark Teague.  It is a fantasy story so we will look for characters who do things real people can not do, and a setting that may be different from the real world.  Our writing piece will be an Opinion Writing.  The children will write about their favorite season.  We will state our opinion and supply reasons that support the opinion.

We have  two students that captured player of the day this week.  Sebastian McNab was player of the for three days in a row..WOW!  Annabella was a player of the day this week too.  Thanks to all our math stars who have helped us rank 11th in the school.

On Wednesday the Warminster Fire Department arrived with two trucks and five volunteers.  We thanked them for all that they do to keep us safe.  Today, we enjoyed Aladdin by the Windy City Players.  The was great.

FYI…..winter uniforms are to be worn as of Monday, October 13th.
Forty Hours will close on Tuesday, Octber 14th.

Mark you calendar for our Saints Celebration.  We plan to have a small prayer service within the classroom and then join the PreK and K for a parade.  More specific information will follow.  As of right now we are planning for Tuesday, October 28th, around 9:00 am.  Stay tuned for more information.

Happy October!
We have Annabelle Price, Sebastian McNab, Mason Burlingame as our players of the day.  Also all of our second grade friends have helped to make Room 204, 11th in the school.  Congratulations to my Math Magicians!  We have had a lot of fun creating Leaf People and pets.
