January 29th

Congratulations to the students and their families for the service project's success.  The children raised $35,578.50 for the Mini - Thon  FTK For The Kids.  The day proved to be successful in many ways.  Our children heard stories of real children from our own community who have been effected by cancer as well as worked together in a fun way to raise money.  Many thanks to the teachers that organized and the administration with Father Citino who allowed the event to take place at Nativity; to the countless parents and local businesses for all their generous contributions of time, talents and food; and most of all to the children and their families for all their support of this heartbreaking cause.

Also we will be planning our Cowboy celebration for the beginning of February.  If you could loan us a cowboy boot and plastic snakes so we could play snake in the boot we would appreciate it.  We have a parent willing to loan us a large horse to be used in the game of lasso the horse.  Beanbags would be great to play tossing the beanbag on to a square with 12 squares to turn and we will add the numbers (simulating horseshoes).  So if you have plastic snakes, a cowboy boot, or beanbags to loan us I would be grateful.

Thanks for all your support!

Happy Catholic School Week, to celebrate the children will not have any homework to do with you.  Any work that needs to be completed will be done in the classroom.
Tuesday is supposed to be our time to visit all the countries represented in NOOL; Wednesday is Student Appreciation Day and the Home and School will provide a treat for the children in the afternoon; Thursday is Mini-Thon Day; Friday is Teacher's Appreciation Day.
We are preparing for our Cowboy Celebration.  My Myers and I will be working together to have this on February 10th or 17th.  We will have many activities and the children will be putting on a dance taught by Mr. Myers.  It is so much fun!
Please be safe with this storm approaching.
Thanks for all you do.

January 10th
We have survived our re-entry to school.  Again thank you so much for all your well wishes and generosity.
My angels returned to school ready to resume their roles as the best kids in my world.  I understand that math may be causing undo stress at night with homework.  PLEASE do not spend any more than 10 minutes on the work.  If it is causing an upset family time, just stop and write 10 minutes on the page and I will know we have to reteach the concept.  Your children do their very best everyday in the classroom so I know that the math concepts will become second nature.
Enjoy your weekend.
