First in Math still is something that the children look forward to hearing about.  Each morning they want to know the rankings.    We seem to have a duel going on for player of the day.  Jose Chavez and Christopher Branchide are the contests.  More importantly our class is working together to keep our class in the top 10 of the school.  So we say our class has 22 players of the day!!!!!
We had fun creating a spooky monster and being newspaper reporter for Snowflake Bently by Jacqueline Briggs Martin.

October 16, 2012
First in Math has been a hit for room 204.  Our class ranks 8th in the entire school.  We certainly have Math Wizards.   Our players of the day have been Christopher Branchide, Aston Lovelace, Vincent Tate.  Congratulations to all my students for their efforts.
Enjoy the day off tomorrow!

The Second Grade honors the Saints in October.  We have a celebration that will be held at the end of October.  More information will be sent home after we have had our meeting with the administration.  All details will follow.  So to get started your child should choose a saint that they would like to learn about.
Also we have sent home today a "Our Saint Banner" activity.  All directions appear on the sheet and the materials necessary are attached.  Please work on this with your child and return the sheet with the activity.
Thanks so much for all you do!

Dear Parents,

September 10, 2012

Homework will officially begin on Monday, September 17th.  We realize that some of the children have siblings that will also have Back-To-School Night so we thought it would be easier this way.

I will begin to do homework with the children in the H copybook so you can see how it will work.

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night!

Sunday, September 9, 2012

Good Morning,
Just a few notes for this week's happenings:

  • Back to School Night - Tuesday, September 11th, 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday E-envelope will begin on Tuesday, September 11th
  • Shelter-In-Place baggie due this Friday.  A ziplock bag containing a bottle of water and an non-persishable snack with your child's name clearly marked should be sent in by Friday.
  • Friday is our first school Mass.  Our children must wear their regular school uniform, and send in their sneakers in a bag for gym.  FYI:  just a suggestion - mark their shoes and sneakers with a permanent marker on the bottom with their name or magic number.  This will help in securing they wear their own sneakers and shoes.  THANKS!!!
