November 18th

As we are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, we have created a feather of Thanksgiving for our Turkey.  Also we made paper plate girl and boy pilgrims, and we could not forget our Indian pals.

We will be preparing for our Thanksgiving Prayer Service scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th, at 2:00 PM.

WISHING ALL MY SECOND GRADE FAMILY A VERY SPECIAL THANKSGIVING DAY.

November 5th

As Thanksgiving approaches, it is a special time to be thankful for the many blessings in our lives.  At home, please discuss with your child all the gifts he/she has to be thankful for, such as a loving family, a comfortable home, playful pets, good friends, etc.
Then in school, your child will be decorating a feather for our turkey.  I will provide a feather for each child (about 12 inches long and 4 inches wide) and magazines, feathers, glitter to decorate their feather.  They will need to have at least five things to display on the feathers.  The feathers will be used as an assessment for Religion.
We will be discussing our blessings this week and begin our feather on Friday for art.
Thanks for all your support.

November 4, 2014

Happy November!  I appreciated your support during our conferences.  It is easy to see why my children are so sweet.  My many blessings are great.

Our players of the day so far this week are Nicholas Pomeroy and Declan Cashman.  We thank all our math magicians for helping us rank 7th in the school.  Tomorrow we are excited to go to the Science Lab with our sixth grade friends.  We will test our hypothesis. This will be tested to show if food coloring spreads faster in cold water or warm water.
