Good Morning Friends!  

Happy Monday!  We hope that you all had a nice weekend! 

Just a reminder: 

As we begin our 3rd trimester, we are preparing for 3rd grade.   The students will continue to copy their homework daily into our "H" copybooks.  There will not be a homework sheet.  .

We have also begun discussing our Mother's Day plays.  The plays will be performed for our moms in May.  As we begin this process, your student may ask to bring in parts of a costume.  Please do not go out to buy anything!  More information regarding the plays and the date will be given as we get closer.    

Important Dates:

Thursday March 22nd- Pretzel Orders due

Friday March 23rd- Last day for Candy and Yearbook Orders

Tuesday March 27th- No school, Faculty Retreat

Thursday March 29th April 2nd- Easter Break, Happy Easter! 

What we are learning this week:

Math: Continuing Chapter 6 (3 Digit Addition and Subtraction)

Reading: Continuing our new story: My Name is Gabriela.  We will continue learning subject/verb agreement, suffixes (y and ful), the verb "be", Long e Sound as Y- our spelling words, and continuing with narrative writing/descriptive paragraphs. 

Religion: Completing Chapter 15- We Gather for Mass and Palm Sunday 

Social Studies and Science: Spring has Sprung, and Scholastic News

Good Morning Friends!  

Happy Monday!  We hope that you all had a nice weekend! 

Some important information: 

As we begin our 3rd trimester, we are preparing for 3rd grade.   The students will begin copying their homework daily into their "H" copybooks.  There will not be a homework sheet.  

Report cards for the 2nd trimester will be sent home on Friday.

We have also begun discussing our Mother's Day plays.  The plays will be performed for our moms in May.  As we begin this process, your student may ask to bring in parts of a costume.  Please do not go out to buy anything!  More information regarding the plays and the date will be given as we get closer.

Tuesday March 13th: DRESS DOWN DAY for Relay for Life, Spelling Test on Long I words

Wednesday March 14th: Stations of the Cross at 2pm, Reading Test on "Luke Goes to Bat"

Thursday March 15th: Dental assembly, Religion Test on Chapter 14

Friday March 16th- Report Cards, April Lunch Module closes

Happy Monday!  We hope that you all had a nice weekend! To those of you who lost power; we hope you are finally warming up!  

Important Dates:

Tuesday March 6th- GYM for both classes (Room 205 please wear your gym uniform on Tuesday of this week instead of Wednesday)

Friday March 9th- NO SCHOOL Teacher in-service and 2nd Trimester Ends 

What we are learning this week:

Math: Beginning Chapter 6 (3 Digit Addition and Subtraction)

Reading: Starting our new story: Luke Goes to Bat.  We will be learning about antonyms, Long I- our spelling words (I, igh, ie, y), and continuing with narrative writing. 

Religion: Finishing Chapter 13 (Test on Tuesday) and beginning Chapter 14- God's Forgiving Love 

Social Studies and Science: Scholastic News and discussing the saying "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb"
