Thank you for being so flexible with rescheduling conferences.
Today the children celebrated the Saints with a prayer service and parade around school.  Thanks to all the efforts that were put into the costumes.  Also thanks to the moms who came in early to help the students get dressed.  Photos were taken and hopefully they will be on the blog soon.
Enjoy the weekend!

Hurricane Sandy has rained on our conference parade.  For all my families scheduled for Tuesday afternoon or evening we can reschedule.  Times available are any morning 7:30 AM; 7:45 AM;  Wednesday and Thursday afternoon 3:30 or 3:45 PM;  Telephone conferences are a possibility as well.
Let me hear from you so we can schedule a time.  Stay safe!

First in Math still is something that the children look forward to hearing about.  Each morning they want to know the rankings.    We seem to have a duel going on for player of the day.  Jose Chavez and Christopher Branchide are the contests.  More importantly our class is working together to keep our class in the top 10 of the school.  So we say our class has 22 players of the day!!!!!
We had fun creating a spooky monster and being newspaper reporter for Snowflake Bently by Jacqueline Briggs Martin.

First in Math has been a hit for room 204.  Our class ranks 8th in the entire school.  We certainly have Math Wizards.   Our players of the day have been Christopher Branchide, Aston Lovelace, Vincent Tate.  Congratulations to all my students for their efforts.
Enjoy the day off tomorrow!

The Second Grade honors the Saints in October.  We have a celebration that will be held at the end of October.  More information will be sent home after we have had our meeting with the administration.  All details will follow.  So to get started your child should choose a saint that they would like to learn about.
Also we have sent home today a "Our Saint Banner" activity.  All directions appear on the sheet and the materials necessary are attached.  Please work on this with your child and return the sheet with the activity.
Thanks so much for all you do!

Johnny Appleseed took center stage with our children today.  First and Second grade cooked up some home-made applesauce.  We read and created a book to remember him.  Also Johnny Appleseed bingo was played and everyone enjoyed it.
FYI:  please sign the tests in the folder and return!
Thank you so much for all your generosity!!
